OUR STORY

Step into a story that began more

than a century ago.

The Collier House Restaurant

A Legacy of Southern Grace. A Vision for Modern Hospitality. Marco Island, Florida | Est. 1882

In the heart of Marco Island, where the sun falls softly over tree lined streets and the breeze

carries the scent of salt and citrus, stands a home unlike any other—a place rooted in history, yet

boldly reimagined for today.

Originally constructed in 1882 by the pioneerig Collier family, visionaries and stewards of this

land, The Collier House is one of the island’s most enduring architectural landmarks. Restored

with reverence and purpose, this iconic two-story home has been thoughtfully reimagined as a

refined coastal dining destination, where historic charm meets the flavors of the modern

South—its culture, its cuisine, and its hospitality.

More than a dining destination,

The Collier House is a curated experience. Each room tells a story: of quiet

Southern mornings on the porch,

of seasonal feasts shared among family, of the

enduring rituals that bind us together over food and fellowship. Chef Michael Voorhis culinary

vision brings those stories to life through a menu that balances heritage and creativity—featuring

classic Southern preparations elevated by fresh, local ingredients and a refined touch.

Signature dishes such as our slow-smoked baby back ribs, Charleston-style she-crab soup, and

macadamia-crusted Mahi Mahi created by the previous Chef Peter Marek are served alongside

elegant sides, house-baked breads, and decadent Southern desserts. The beverage program

created by Richard Jackson echoes the same care, offering craft cocktails, and a wine list

designed to complement the depth of our flavors.

At The Collier House, we invite you to experience the elegance of old Florida hospitality. From

our wraparound porch to our light-filled dining rooms, every detail is designed to celebrate

tradition, community, and the rich culinary heritage of the South. Our menu features a seasonal

selection of house-made dishes inspired by Southern roots and coastal freshness—ribs

slow-smoked to perfection, low country boils, crab cakes, and indulgent desserts

From quiet lunches to celebratory dinners, from wedding receptions to sunset cocktails on the

porch—The Collier House offers a timeless setting where guests are invited to linger, connect,

and savor. We are proud to bring this historic home back to life—not as a monument to the past,

but as a gracious host to the future of Southern dining on Marco Island. Whether you're joining us for a leisurely brunch, a celebratory dinner, or simply a drink under the palms, The Collier House offers an unforgettable experience steeped in warmth, charm, and a little Southern magic.
